Field Note: Edges

Sometimes a landscape says the thing before words do.
The path.
The edges.
The places we’re told movement should happen.
And then the wild things that emerge anyway.
I think a lot about this in my work.
How environments shape behavior.
How systems condition response.
How the body adapts to what it experiences over time.
But also
how life continues to move toward expression.
Even through concrete.
Even through pressure.
Even through carefully constructed spaces.
There is intelligence in staying connected long enough to notice what wants to emerge.
